Technology
We didn't know what computer we were going to take. After some deliberation, we decided the iPad was the ideal traveling companion for our needs. It can handle pictures, Internet, email, skype and blogging very well. Matt never thought he would buy an iPad since he has a laptop and iPhone already, but it holds it's value so well that we decided to go for it. We plan on selling it upon our return, but we'll see I guess!

Umm...Making the Blog
We are sitting in our apartment on a Saturday afternoon trying to prepare for our trip, and so we decided to get our blog started.
Here it is!
So, with this blog started we now have exactly three (3) items checked off on our to-do list for New Zealand, the others being (1) buying our plane tickets and (2) getting our travel visas. As Matt said earlier, at least we have the important things checked off. I then reminded him that he should probably start walking again since we have less than 3 months before we are getting on our jet plane and I would appreciate if he could walk by then. Plus with him walking without crutches that will be four (4) things checked off on our list!! woo woo!
Our big adventure starts on November 15th when we fly out of LAX at 10:30pm and arrive in Nadi, Fiji two days later at 5:30am. We are then going to spend a week in Fiji being all romantic and stuff and then we will get back on an airplane and fly another three hours to Auckland, New Zealand where we will buy a campervan and travel the country for a year. Sound like a good plan? We think so....
